HUB CityServe App
The HUB CityServe app is an easy-to-use church compassion utility tool designed specifically for CityServe HUBs in the collaborative network. A CityServe HUB is a church or organization with the capacity and space to be a warehouse distribution center for goods in-kind (GIK) for local churches, also known as PODs (point of distribution), in its geographical region. The HUB CityServe app allows HUBs to manage received truckloads and distribution with approval, reporting, and tracking capabilities—creating a contactless and paperless verification process. The HUB CityServe app is a component of an app ecosystem that works in conjunction with the POD CityServe and the HERO Network apps.
How it Works:
- Download the HUB CityServe app in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Once downloaded, a CityServe App Representative will work with you to create your HUB in the CityServe App Ecosystem.
- Your HUB name will be the city where your church or organization is located, not the name of your church or organization. (ie. Canyon Hills Assembly of God Church is a HUB in Bakersfield, California, so its HUB name is Bakersfield.)
- Creating a HUB account will automatically populate the map with your HUB name and location, making your HUB searchable by PODs to connect with via the POD CityServe app.
- When a truckload is received at your HUB, a signed Bill of Lading in the app will electronically populate your HUB warehouse with the truckload.
- GIK picked up by PODs will be verified and signed for in the POD CityServe app and deducted from your HUB truckload electronically.
- Other features provide POD tracking reports and history.
- The media feed is a multi-platform feature that allows your HUB to post photos, videos, and share testimonials pertaining to the CityServe ministry.
POD CityServe App
The POD CityServe app is an easy-to-use church compassion supply store and utility tool designed specifically for CityServe PODs in the CityServe collaborative network. A CityServe POD (point of distribution) is a local church coordinating with CityServe to receive resources from its assigned HUB and meet the needs of its neighborhood with compassionate giving and relationship building. The POD CityServe app allows PODs to connect to a HUB in close proximity to their church location, and manage picked up items and distribution with approval, reporting, and tracking capabilities–creating a contactless and paperless verification process. Operating as an online supply store, picked-up goods in-kind (GIK) are cataloged and made available for selection by users in the HERO app—resourcing people for compassionate giving to households in need. The POD CityServe app is a component of an app ecosystem that works in conjunction with the HUB CityServe and HERO Network apps.
How it Works:
- Download the POD CityServe app in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Once downloaded, a CityServe App Representative will work with you to create your POD and POD account in the CityServe App Ecosystem.
- GIK picked up at your assigned HUB is reported in the POD CityServe app.
- Other features provide HERO Network tracking reports and history.
- The media feed is a multi-platform feature allowing your POD to post photos, videos, and share testimonials pertaining to the CityServe ministry.
HERO Network App
To extend your ministry and gain influence in your community, we advise HUBs and PODs to utilize the HERO Network app. The HERO Network app is a community compassion engagement tool specifically designed for volunteers. This easy-to-use app allows individuals and families to report and track the distribution of goods-in-kind (GIK) to households. The app works in conjunction with the HUB CityServe and POD CityServe apps. The HERO Network app is a great tool to mobilize the church body with relationship building and discipleship, and testify to God’s work through His church—most especially new salvations.
How it Works:
- Download the HERO Network app in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Create a personal account and connect with a CityServe POD.
- To deliver GIK, select the Item Request feature, then select the household to deliver to, and add items to the cart. Users can select the date and time to pick up items from their POD.
- The media feed is a multi-platform feature allowing users to post photos, videos, and share testimonials pertaining to the CityServe ministry.
*Please note: Multiple users CAN be on one HUB or POD account. However, one email address CANNOT be used for multiple accounts across the 3 apps.
